Eoin McLove would have been proud.
Yesterday in Dublin, as you might have heard, there was an attempt to break a world record for the most people in Christmas jumpers in the one place at the one time.
It was all in aid of Debra Ireland and the organisers were helped out by the Luas, where free travel was granted to anyone wearing a Christmas jumper yesterday.
Despite the weather, huge crowds turned out for the turning on of the Christmas lights on O’Connell Street, where MCs Dustin and Al Porter and a number of special guests entertained the crowd.
The Christmas jumper world record unfortunately remained intact after yesterday’s attempt, but there were plenty of eye-catching outfits on display, including the get-up worn by the pair below, which won best costume award on the night.
