PIC: There’s no way this white pudding being sold in Cork is as out of date as the label says

This is beyond the pale.

Somewhere deep down, we all believe that Best Before dates are a bit of a myth. We’re all pretty sure that a day or two in either direction doesn’t make much a difference.

Sure, there are exceptions to this rule like milk and berries, but for the most part we’re going to be frying those sausages even if they’re a day out of date.

Somewhere along the line, though, as the years drag on… You have to draw the line. Apparently, Tesco in Ballincollig are refusing to draw this line:

We have to assume this is a typographical error right?

If not, when this pudding went off Brian Cowen was still the Taoiseach of Ireland, Giovanni Trapattoni was in Martin O’Neill’s job and Gerry Adams had yet to discover Twitter.
