Pic: These conflicted speed limit signs in Galway are so quintessentially Irish

Just go with the average

Paul Moore

Just go with the average.

We’re all in favour of keeping Irish roads as safe as possible and any help or information that can make any journey safer for drivers is very welcome.

We’ve all been guilty of driving slightly over the speed limit, on rare occasions of course, but you really couldn’t blame any motorist in Galway for being confused about the designated limit in this area.

A JOE reader has sent this picture into us,  taken at Barnaderg in Tuam, Co Galway, and our best suggestion is to just drive at 65 km/h.

Take a look.
