PIC: This Dundalk newspaper’s story about a walking stick is the most Irish thing you’ll read today

Colm Boohig

Don’t you just love Ireland all the same?

Irish people are an extremely caring bunch in their own inimitable way, and it’s good to see that the country’s community spirit is still alive and well, judging by this headline from Louth.

JOE reader Chád Mac Conraoí send us this story from The Argus newspaper, based in Dundalk.

The article, written by Conor Myers, sums just how sound and simple we all are.

We especially love the ‘safe return’ request.

Walking stick Dundalk

*JOE has since been reliably informed that Bernard did indeed safely recover his walking stick.

Fantastic stuff all around.

Cheers to Chád Mac Conraoí for sending this our way. If you have something you would like to share with us, send it to our WhatsApp number 087-4001102, [email protected] or hit us up on Facebook or Twitter.
