PIC: This pub in Wexford has an ingenious way of selling half pints

Alan Loughnane

This may help to restore your battered pride…

Any man who’s ever ordered a half pint in Ireland knows that it opens you up to unmerciful slagging, it’s simply in our nature to take the piss out of someone and it’s a prime opportunity.

There’s absolutely nothing wrong with ordering a half pint but of course, inevitable calls of “soft” and “lightweight” will get thrown about, we live in Ireland after all.

But Simon Lambert & Sons bar in Wexford have found a clever way of serving a half-pint by vertically halving the pint glass which means it still looks like a full pint if you place it carefully.

We’d probably order it just to get the glass…

When someone asks for a half pint at Simon Lambert & Sons … ??
