PIC: Today’s Google Doodle is a tribute to Ireland drawn by a 12-year-old from Cork

The theme was ‘Ireland is…’

We all had a great time celebrating ourselves yesterday, and Google has kept the good times going by featuring a tribute to Ireland in today’s Google Doodle.

The Doodle is is based around a drawing done by Mia Buckley, of Co. Cork, who entered a competition to be featured on the Google Doodle by submitting a drawing with the theme Ireland is…

Her drawing features a shamrock, a harp, a hurl and a few other elements of Irish life that end up spelling out the word Google. It’s a clever and charming tribute to our little island.

In fact, we think Google may as well just make it their new logo.
