Pic: We simply must have the new black and white version of Adidas’ knitted football boots

This is as close to football boot porn as you’re going to get.

This is as close to football boot porn as you’re going to get.

When Adidas unveiled plans for the world’s first knitted football boot, the PrimeKnit, we admit to being a little sceptical at first, but we were soon won over by its charms having seen the likes of Luis Suarez wear them in action on the pitch.

If we were impressed by the original version – find out more about those babies here – then we’re absolutely blown away by the updated model, which come in an absolute lovely blend of black and white. Check these out…

The new version should suit football lovers of all types; they’re largely black, which will appeal to the traditionalists, while the fact that they’re knitted and will make an instant impression on anyone who sets eyes on them will undoubtedly appeal to the football boot hipster community.

According to reports, only 500 pairs of the limited edition boots will be made available and they’ll likely cost a pretty penny (the original PrimeKnit boots retailed at approximately €300) but we don’t care because we simply must have them, no matter what.

What’s the verdict folks, do you like them as much as we do?
