This is the dream, especially for Irish who haven’t a realistic hope of seeing a swimming pool in their back garden within the next 100 years (without a serious hand from global warming, at any rate).
Actress Rachel Bloom has converted one of her basement rooms into a massive ball pit.
And it’s incredible, as if you need confirmation.
The star and creator of Crazy Ex-Girlfriend posted the image to her Twitter feed and now all we want to do is spend all our earthly funds on all the cheap, coloured balls that money can buy on Amazon.

Bloom revealed how she did it, and it couldn’t be simpler. Revealing how it’s a permanent fixture in her home, she explained, “We used a mattress, some foam, a bunch of blankets, a couple of dog fences and got a fuckton of cheap balls on Amazon. This is a now a permanent art installation/whimsy factory.”
Granted, we don’t all have the space for a ‘whimsy factory’ in our homes but what’s life without the hope and the dream of a room filled with primary coloured balls of plastic? Pointless is what it is.
Pointless.
