Those folks at NASA are obviously sticklers for detail.

Last week, July 20, marked the 47th anniversary of one of the most historic days in history, when Neil Armstrong became the first man to set foot on the moon. Approximately 20 minutes after Armstrong uttered the immortal line "one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind", he was followed onto the moon’s surface by Buzz Aldrin, who had no problem taking the p*ss out of his place in history in an episode of The Simpsons decades later. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a705hL-Rdz0 Clip via Tim Mattox While travelling to the moon is simply not comparable to any other work-related trip in any field, it turns out that Aldrin had to follow the same rules as any run-of-the-mill employee. https://twitter.com/TheRealBuzz/status/758126112287383552 On Twitter today, he posted pictures of the travel expenses he submitted on July 27, just three days after returning to Earth and splashing down in the Pacific Ocean. He obviously had to get them in by the end of the month. For such an important and historic trip, it seems remarkable that the details are listed in such a mundane fashion; just look at the places listed under ‘Residence’ in the second picture. aldrinexpenses aldrinexpenses1 And the total sum at the end of it all? A princely $33.31. Money well spent. SNAPCHATnew
