This is very impressive.
Some of the most iconic collection of photos in history are those classic images of the New York builders eating their lunch suspended hundreds of feet in the air.
Those images never fail to amaze us and these group of friends in Galway were inspired to pay respect to these men by recreating the scene during the St. Patrick’s Day parade in Moycullen.
Speaking to JOE, one of the participants, Colm Kelly, said that the idea came when he discovered that two of the builders from the original photos were from Galway, with one even a Moycullen native.
The effort was good enough to win first prize, and we’re not surprised. Take a look.
By the way if you, like us, were wondering why there was a gap between the lads, it turns out, courtesy of Colm himself, that one of the group didn’t last the whole journey.
Oh dear!
Cheers to Colm Kelly for sending this our way. If you have something you would like to share with us, send it to our WhatsApp number 087-4001102, [email protected] or hit us up on Facebook or Twitter.
