PICS: Here are the 5 most expensive properties to rent in Ireland

Paul Moore

Well for some.

Unless you happen to be the lucky sod that won the €66m Euromillions jackpot, it’s very likely that you’ll be feeling the pinch following the news that the cost of renting in Ireland has increased by 9% in 2015. With this in mind, we’ve decided to take a look at the five swankiest properties that are currently available to rent on the market.

FYI, Eddie Irvine’s amazing €7,000 per week Dalkey mansion is still the most expensive gaf but we’ve already had a look at that here.

If Bill Gates fancies a wee break in Ireland, here’s what Daft.ie has to offer.

5) Location: Cherrygarth, Mount Merrion, Co. Dublin

Cost: €7,000 per month. FYI, there are a few more properties tied for fifth place with this one on 7k per month.

On offer: 5 Bedrooms (5 double), 4 Bathrooms, 3.5 acres of manicured gardens, tennis court, two formal reception rooms, laundry room, home office and a study. At basement/garden level there is a 2 bedroom apartment with living room, kitchen and bathroom.

4) Location:Mount Juliet, Thomastown, Co. Kilkenny

Cost: €1,750 weekly

On offer: 3 Beds, 3 Bathrooms, reception, dining room, fully fitted eat-in kitchen and a utility room with an extra fridge. The real draw is its proximity to the amenities in Walton’s Grove though because there’s a hotel, two restaurants, two bars, a spa, swimming pool, sauna, salt baths, steam room and gymnasium nearby. The 18 hole Jack Nicklaus designed golf course is also one of the best in the country.

On the hall return, there’s a butler’s pantry with access to the rear garden. Walk-in closet, fireplaces, and a heat controlled wine cellar are also available.
