PICS: Here’s the dog that won the Nose of Tralee

Carl Kinsella

Truly a proud day for Carlow.

The Carlow Nose, aka Mr Bailey, a Cavachon, has been crowned the Nose of Tralee by Pet Sitters Ireland.

While he can’t talk in any human sense of the word, he is said to be delighted at his win and will be celebrating this evening with his favourite tipple of doggie beer.

One of Ireland’s most stylish dogs, he enjoys an extensive wardrobe of suits and caps. He even has his own Gardaí uniform which he wears when he works part-time at the local Gardaí station.

Look at him there in his cap. A true gentleman. Fair play.

Mr Bailey will be presented with his winner’s sash at the upcoming Nose of Tralee event.

This year’s Second Place goes to the Galway Nose Mattie, who was a mature entrant at 15 years old. He is said to be delighted with his placing in the competition and looks forward to meeting all the other Noses and sharing his wisdom with them.

Other runners-up included the Kildare Nose, the Cavan Nose and the Antrim Nose. But it’s a dog eat dog world out there and there can only be one winner.
