These people got pretty close to the action in Cork today...

It's not everyday you go for a swim in the ocean and you're joined by a Basking Shark. Well these swimmers and kayak enthusiasts near South Harbour in Cape Clear Island had that very experience today. Niamh Ní Drisceoil of the Fastnet Tour Company spotted the shark at lunchtime and took a few snaps, which are pretty spectacular. JOE spoke to Niamh and she told us that the basking sharks are vegetarian so completely harmless and they swam peacefully around the people in the water. We know we'd probably be flapping furiously in the water if it was us but what an experience for everyone there...
