PICS: This Irish guy ended up in Amsterdam after taking a €1,000 bet in Cork at 2am this morning

Joe Harrington

A great story for the grandchildren.

David O’Keeffe was out enjoying himself in Midleton in Cork last night (March 17) when his friend bet him €1,000 that he couldn’t wake up in a different country. Why? Not a clue.

David wasn’t in the mood to lose so he went to his local kebab shop and met Ian Hennessy and both men decided they’d go on an adventure.

They hopped in a taxi and after a quick stop at home for passports, they headed to Cork Airport.

David’s Snapchat story tells the story.

The boys only booked a one-way flight and are yet to book a flight home, David told us earlier that they’re considering a trip to Paris by train before they go back to Cork.

While the two guys are having great craic, David’s mother isn’t seeing the funny side of it.

What a story, that’s €1,000 well earned.
