PICS: Irish guy loses iPhone, it turns up at a police station with photos of these random guys on it

Joe Harrington

Sound men.

JOE reader Gavy Cusack got in touch with us today with a story about a random act of kindness by two Australian guys that saved his iPhone.

The Armagh man, who’s currently living in Melbourne, explained to JOE what happened.

“As it was a good day today in Melbourne, I decided to put the roof down on my 1992 Capri. I thought I’d attempt a bit of shopping so I parked up on Chapel Street and left the roof down.

“I left the roof down and went about my business. When I came back 20 mins later I put my hands in my pockets and didn’t have my phone on me. It wasn’t in the car either.

“I retraced my steps, but no sign so I got a shop assistant to call my phone and someone answered straight away and told him that they were just about to hand it into Prahran Police station.

“I drove down to the station to pick it up.”

Here’s what Gavy found in the camera roll when he opened up the phone.

Gavy explained what he thinks happened, “they left some details with the police but they did not want to disclose who they were.

“I assume the two fellas seen it sitting in my car and didn’t want it falling into the wrong hands. But on their way (15min walk) they took a few snaps to illustrate their act of kindness…”

Good boys.
