PICS: There was a camel out for a stroll in Kerry this afternoon

Conor Heneghan

You’ll find all sorts enjoying the Kingdom at this time of year.

Always a popular spot with tourists throughout the year, even more visitors from home and abroad seem to flock to Kerry during the summertime and we wouldn’t blame them; it is really a beautiful part of the world.

So beautiful, it turns out, that even camels are out and about enjoying the scenery, like this one that Sue Carr snapped on the road to Killorglin earlier today.

There is currently a circus visiting the area so that’s where this particular camel had come from; this is the latest in a series of camel sightings on the west coast of Ireland following two in the space of a week in Mayo earlier in the summer.

We’re sure the frown on the camel’s face will be gone before too long; by tomorrow they’ll be over the hump of the week after all.

Cheers to Sue Carr and Radio Kerry for their help with this one. Got a story for JOE? Hit us up on Facebook or Twitter, send it to our WhatsApp number 087-4001102 or mail [email protected].
