Earlier this week, you may have noticed McDonald’s announcing that they would be running their #FreeBreakfastFriday campaign again this year after it was such a success in 2015.
Well, today’s the big day and if you make it to any of the 89 McDonald’s restaurants throughout Ireland this morning, you’ll be able to help yourself to a free Bacon & Egg McMuffin or a free Sausage & Egg McMuffin.
The early bird catches the worm, of course and in what is a glowing endorsement of our fondness for free food (or free anything for that matter) loads and loads of people have already taken advantage of the offer.
Radio personalities, it seems, have been particularly keen to get out ahead of the pack.

McDonald’s gave away 60,000 free McMuffins during the campaign last year, but we reckon that the way things are going they’ll easily surpass that figure this time around.
If by any chance they want to extend the campaign into a #FreeMcFlurryFriday for dessert, then we’re fully on board.
