Pulling no punches.
President Donald Trump has come under intense fire for his comments this week equating counter-protestors in Charlottesville, Virginia with the Nazis and white supremacists behind the rally which descended quickly into violence.
After waiting 48 hours to condemn white supremacist groups and the Ku Klux Klan, Trump backtracked and argued that there were “very fine people” at the rally, and reiterated his belief that there were “two sides” to the story.
Prominent Republicans like Senators John McCain and Marco Rubio publicly disagreed with the leader of their party, calling out white supremacy by name on Twitter.
Trump was also hit hard in the media, where many magazine covers depicted the businessman and politician as a member of the KKK.
The Economist depicted Trump as yelling into a megaphone made from a Ku Klux Klan hood.

Similarly, the New Yorker cover showed Trump alone in a boat blowing a sail in the shape of that same infamous hood.

Internationally, German publication Der Spiegel and went all out depicting Trump wearing the hood himself – alongside the caption “Trump’s True Face.”
