About as Irish as it gets...

Care packages from your parents while you live abroad are essential, usually they contain some combination of McDonnells Curry Sauce, Tayto crisps and either Lyons or Barry's (we're not getting into that debate now).

But it's far less common for a couple who are travelling to Lisbon for a week long holiday to pack their bags full of Tayto Crisps in an effort to spread some Irish culture.

Pat and Martina Caffrey from Cellbridge, Kildare are enjoying all that Lisbon has to offer them, but they're also doing their bit to promote some of the Irish delicacies that haven't quite made their way down the continent just yet.

The pair are travelling around from pub to pub giving out packets of Tayto, they're calling it a "Tayto Drop" and their aim is to spread the taste of home to the locals and also to the Irish living over their who've had to live without crisp sandwiches.

They've completed a few of these "Tayto Drops" and they've been very well received so far...

And there's even some photographic evidence of the happy staff getting the drop...
