
The 70-year-old has died from bowel cancer.
The renowned author and international drug smuggler Howard Marks, otherwise known as Mr. Nice, has passed away at the age of 70 from inoperable cancer.
Marks came to global prominence 20 years ago upon the release of his autobiography, having left US prison in 1995, where he had been incarcerated for drug offences.
His writing hit home with millions of people and his life story made the big screen in 2010, with Welsh actor Rhys Ifans portraying Mr. Nice.
