PICS: A well-known Galway pub has refurbished its beer garden with a double-decker ‘pizza bus’

That's right, a pizza bus.

Not something you expect to see in any old beer garden.

Revellers in Galway looking for a night out with a difference over Christmas might fancy a trip to Carroll’s on Dominick Street, which has just been renovated in a manner not usually seen in public houses, certainly not in Ireland anyway.

The pub in Galway’s West End expanded its beer garden as part of its renovations and it needed to in order to accommodate a double-decker bus which forms part of a new heated outdoor eating area aptly known as ‘The Crust Bucket’.

Punters visiting the pub can enjoy pizza and a large selection of craft beers in the beer garden, or in the confines of the recently installed bus, which was delivered to the rear of the pub by a crane.

For those of you not familiar with Galway, Carroll’s is located on Dominick Street, less than a 10-minute walk from Eyre Square and less than a five-minute stroll from the bottom of Shop Street.

For more information, check out Carroll’s on Facebook.
