Pics: Were these limited edition rainbow coloured Predators a bright idea by Adidas?

Some people love coloured boots and others loathe them, but Adidas have taken the concept to a whole new level with a new limited edition release of their Predator LZ SL boot.

Some people love coloured boots and others loathe them, but Adidas have taken the concept to a whole new level with a new limited edition release of their Predator LZ SL boot.

With the World Cup set to provide the perfect showcase for the wide range of boots they have to offer during the summer, Adidas have been upping the game in terms of the variety of styles available from their many ranges of football boots in recent months.

From the multi-coloured versions of their famous Mundial boot to the amazing ‘imperial lion-dog’ model of F50 boot conceived by Japanese designer Yohji Yamamoto, there have been any amount of eye-catching releases from the sportswear giant of late.

Their latest effort is a re-styling of the existing Predator LZ SL, with the Lethal Zones at the top of the boot covered in all of the colours in the rainbow on a boot which is available in a base colour of black and white.

The limited edition boot will no doubt appeal to the more flamboyant of football boot connoisseurs – they mightn’t be so welcome on a mucky field for a Junior B GAA match – and if you have to cash to do so, you can get them on soccer.com for just short of $250 (around €185).

So what’s the verdict, a bright idea or a multi-coloured mess ? Feel free to let us know in the comment box below.
