Fancy a gourmet bitter Kit Kat? Then check out Japan’s gourmet Kit Kat shop
While many of us will be trying desperately to stick to our New Year’s resolutions and avoid sweets and treats, chocolate fans may not be able to help themselves from indulging in what’s on offer at the world’s first Kit Kat specialty shop.
The shop, which opened in Seibu Department Store in Ikebukuro, Tokyo last week only sells Kit Kats, but not just your bog standard varieties. You can get a special bitter Kit Kat called Sublime, which is limited to only 300 bars per day, while there is also a Kit Kat made with green tea that also contains cherry blossom extract. Fancy, eh?
As it was the opening day, they had 500 of the bitter sublime Kit Kats on offer, and according to what the lads at Kotaku are reporting, they sold out in just over an hour and a half. There’s also a Special Chili flavour, which contains chili pepper cream in between the wafers.
Now, all we need is a flight to Japan so we can get our hands on some of these delicious treats. Who’s picking up the tab for the tickets?
Hat-tip to Kotaku for all the pics.
