On this week’s episode of the Engine Room Show the lads sit down with the Group CEO of VW Ireland, Simon Elliott. He owns one of the fastest VW Caddy Vans in the world…
The lads kick things off this week by talking to Simon about the new 132-reg plates, and it turns out the new plates have been quite successful. But it doesn’t take long before the big kid that is Steven Cooper lets his dirty mind wander off…
We get to hear a little about Simon’s time in the VW group and his purchase of an unlikely mice motel, which brings Cooper onto a hilarious story about a DJ mate of his – we really wish he managed to record the incident.
Moore then asks Simon about his time in Scunthorpe United and if you’re a fan of football then you’ll definitely want to hear this. The lads all chat about the rate of players pay in the English leagues and in the Irish league too.
Things quickly get back to motoring matters as Simon lets the lads in on the VW’s group future with electronic cars and we also get to see a little cameo by none other than Paddy Comyn.
