This week’s Engine Room Show kicks off with some middle names while the rest of the show is comprised of the best (and worst) selling cars in Ireland along with other motoring related topics.

To kick off this week’s show we’re introduced to David John Zachary Moore, David ‘???’ Humphreys and Steven William Francis Cooper, better known as Moore, Humphreys and Cooper from the Engine Room Show. Humphreys apparently has a middle name, but he likes the air of mystery brought about by not telling people.

Moving on… 72 and a half per cent of all cars sold in Ireland this year have been diesels, and that doesn’t sit too well with the lads. According to Humphreys, “you’re just codding yourself”…

In terms of brands VW are the best selling manufacturer this year with Toyota following close behind while Ford and Hyundai come next respectively.

As for the least popular brands, the worst selling brand was Saab (who only sold one car this year – because they don’t exist any more) and Maserati who also sold only one car, which in fairness is understandable considering their cost.

There’s plenty going down on this week’s episode so make sure to stick on cruise control and chill out with the lads while you take a nice long drive in the car.
