Okay, it doesn’t really make much sense but for cramming in as many ‘Pope/religion/football’ puns into a 10-word headline as is humanly possible they deserve some kudos.

Strangely the Irish edition just ran the photo without the headline while keeping the caption. That said, they did use this headline today, so they’re not all bad.
