"Quit Stalin and be my Valentine" – Cartoonist creates pun-tastic Valentine's Day cards based on historical figures
Don't know how to express your undying love for someone? Let these crackin' cards help...
What do you look for in a partner? A good sense of humour? Great hair? An inexplicable obsession with world-famous dictators and terribly brilliant puns?
If you said "yes" to all of these, and if the last quality especially rings true, then boy does JOE have the perfect Valentine's Day cards for you.
Ben Kling, a stupidly-talented 21 year old illustrator, writer and comedian from Boston, has created a super series of alternative cards for you to impress your better half with on 14th February.
And trust us, you most certainly are the lesser half.
Inspired by famous political figures from around the world, Kling has Hitler asking your loved one to "Be Mein", Leon Trotsky "thinks you're hotsky," while Mao wants you to be the Chairman of his heart.
Charmers, the lot of them.
That's not all, however, as Kling has also designed class cards inspired by TV characters, comedians and playwrights, each one better than the last. You can check out all of his designs by heading over to his website here but hurry up, because you've only got one week until V-Day arrives.
