Sam Jackson was born on 21 December 1948, and over the last almost-seven decades, he was gone on to become one of the most loved actors in modern cinema.
He has, inexplicably, never won an Oscar - and in fact he has only been nominated once - but he has starred in some of the biggest and most popular movies of all time.
