Remember these?
So much has happened in Irish society during 2015 that it’s easy to forget some of the biggest events and stories from the past 12 months.
The Berkeley tragedy, marriage equality, sporting highs and lows, viral sensations and Teresa Mannion were just some of the memorable moments but we’ve decided to take a look back at the year that was 2015.
Here’s what you were all reading, watching and listening to on JOE.ie in September.
10) Donald Trump’s weird obsession with walls
Before he tried to build a political and physical wall to prevent immigrants (mainly Mexicans and Muslims) arriving into the US, Trump turned his attention towards the west of Ireland.
Trump has a business interest in the Doonbeg golf club and resort in Co. Clare, but erosion is threatening to do serious damage to Trump’s links course, where he intends to invest a further €45 million over the coming years.
Trump’s solution? Build a 200,000 tonne wall. It’s a policy that he’s pursued throughout the remainder of 2015.
9) Brian O’Driscoll being incredibly sound to an Irish fan
The sister of JOE reader Lynda Darcy was just one of the thousands of Irish supporters in Cardiff for Ireland’s opening RWC match against Canada.
On the flight home, she was sat next to Ireland’s greatest ever rugby player and after plucking up the courage to ask him for a selfie, the worst thing happened. Her phone died but being the man he is, O’Driscoll took the snap with his own phone and emailed it to her.
Champ.
8) BBC omitting Robbie Keane from their ‘selected list’ of top scorers in international football
He’s only scored the 67 international goals in fairness.
Wayne Rooney – he's no Ali Daei!
He is pretty good though, and so are this lot.

There are times when you really have to love Twitter and this was definitely one of them. Keano, Keano!
7) Irish messers wind up our English hosts at the Rugby World Cup
I wonder if the names were lost on them?

6) The guy that chose a €250 car voucher over this lovely lady
One of the most watched TV clips of the year. Take a look and see why.
5) This clever phone trick might ensure you never lose your phone
A guy lost his phone at Electric Picnic but he was able to retrieve it by using the following steps.
A) Go to ‘Notes’, ‘Messages’ ‘Reminders’ or basically any app on your phone that allows you to type a message. We used ‘Notes’ here.
B) Type the following ‘ If you manage to find this phone. Please contact JOE at 083 123 4567 (basically enter the details of any person that you’re currently out with)
C) Hit the return button so the main text jumps down at least four lines. (This will make it more visible at a later point)
D) Take a screenshot of this message.
E) Go to your photos and select this screenshot as your Home Screen, Lock Screen and Wallpaper image if you deem fit.
F) The next time you see your lock screen it should look like this.
4) When you send a WhatsApp message to your mates that was meant for your girlfriend
I’m sure this was mentioned in training.
3) Jack Grealish finally makes a decision
Good luck to him. We’re at the Euro’s next summer and Martin O’Neill has a bunch of players that are fully committed to the green jersey.
Still though, the Aston Villa midfielder might want to consider deleting these tweets.
What a massive game this is!!!! COYBIG ???

2) Irish rugby fans having the best craic after the Romania game
Sonny Bill Williams didn’t want our fans to go home and it’s easy to see why. London and Cardiff turned into a sea of green during the RWC and this spontaneous game of rugby that took place outside Wembley is a fine example of the good nature and fun that our fans always possess.
HEEEEEEAAAAAAAVE!
Just a friendly game of rugby outside the stadium!

1) The two guys that went to their debs and ended up in Paris
Leon Breen and Luke Doherty went to secondary school at Lucan Community College, Dublin and marked their debs in style.
What started out as a fairly average night took a turn in a wild way as the pair ended up in Paris during their celebrations. Tres bien.
Went on the Debs last night, woke up in Paris this morning with this hooligan.
