When it comes to George Clooney, there’s no denying that most women would give their right arm just to have a cup of Nespresso with him, so what makes him so alluring?

Apart from being an all-round pretty cool lad and appearing in a load of our favourite Cohen Brothers movies, Clooney also has an impeccable sense of style, which gives him a leg up on the competition, and a keeps some of the best looking women on the planet by his side, like Stacy Keibler.

The mainstay of Clooney’s wardrobe are basics and classics, and he also works around a fairly limited set of colours that he knows suit his style.

He never goes too loud, and tends to stick to grey, charcoal and black, as well as having a decent selection of crisp white shirts to work with. More often than not, Clooney also ditches the tie in favour of having an open collar, which gives a slightly more relaxed look to what could be an overly formal outfit.

From red carpet events to simply stepping out for an evening on the town, Clooney will almost always be found in a well-fitting suit that looks very sleek, tie or no tie.

The key to that is to go without pleats or cuffs on the trousers, and opt for a flat-fronted number that gives you the option of wearing them solo without having to pair them with a suit jacket. That said, don’t get too hung up on it, the single pleat is still a classic look that George does often go with himself.

When going more casual, you can also copy Clooney’s style. Once again, he stays in a range of colours that he’s comfortable with and that complement his look. The leather jacket and white top stick to the same black and white combination of the suits, and the jeans are pretty classic denim, without too many added frills.

Good accessories like a stylish watch that we can see peaking out from under the sleeves of George’s jacket here can add that bit of character if you feel your outfit needs it, but that doesn’t mean buying a watch with a giant face and covered in diamonds. Go for a leather strap if your budget can afford it, with a classic gold face which is a pretty timeless (pardon the pun) look.

Overall, Clooney’s look is one that emphasises simplicity and elegance without being either loud or understated. If you wear your suit well, properly fitted, you’ll always grab attention when you enter a room.
