Report finds McDonald’s salad to be unhealthier than a Double Big Mac

Over the years, more and more of us have become increasingly aware of the calories we’re consuming on a daily basis.

Noting this, fast-food restaurants such as McDonald’s have tried to present a few ‘healthier’ options, for those mindful of piling on the pounds.

The problem is, some of these items are actually no better than the burgers with which such restaurants are more commonly associated.

On the other side of the Atlantic, a new report from CBCNews has revealed McDonald’s kale Caesar salad is actually more unhealthy than a Double Big Mac.

The kale bit is fine, but when it’s accompanied by ‘crispy bacon, real parmesan petals and roasted garlic focaccia croutons,’ the calorie count starts to build. As well as this, there’s a choice of seasoned crispy chicken or a grilled chicken breast with an Asiago Caesar dressing on top – said to add a whopping 200 calories to the meal alone.

In total, the kale salad comes in at 730 calories, with 53 grams of fat and 1400 milligrams of salt. Incredibly, a Double Big Mac has just 680 calories, 38 frams of fat and 1,340 milligrams of salt.
