Review: Nivea Men sensitive Hydro gel

JOE

JOE continues our campaign to get you looking after your skin better, no matter your skin type

If you don’t like that clean shaven look and prefer to have a bit of stubble, then the Nivea men sensitive Hydro gel is the perfect product to keep your skin moisturised without feeling incredibly greasy.

The problem often is that the skin under the stubble doesn’t get much attention, but since we’re almost always in a rush (running from pillar to post in work or using our lunch breaks to squeeze in a session at the gym), we tend not to take the time to give our face a proper bit of care.

The lads at Nivea do though, and they have been thinking of way for the more hirsutely-faced amongst us to still give ourselves a little bit more attention even if we’re pressed for time.

The key difference between this and other moisturisers is that it’s not greasy, and doesn’t leave that build up on your stubble, which can both be annoying and look strange.

Not only that, but it’s not heavily fragranced, so it’s great if you’ve got sensitive skin, or if you don’t want a really pungent smell in your nostrils all day.

Also, if you’ve got a disposition towards greasy skin (this JOE does, especially around the bridge of the nose), then you won’t be left with a residue that will make that even worse.

As usual with the Nivea men gear, it’s nice and compact, perfectly sized for popping in your kit bag, and all you need is twenty seconds to rub it on your face after you finish your post-workout shower and the job is done. Besides, it retails at around €7, which is friendly on the pocket too.
