PICS: Ricky Gervais loves Dublin and the feeling is most definitely mutual

He popped over to Dublin "for the craic."

JOE

He was in town on his humanity tour.

If you’re ever bored and in need of something to do, take a look at Ricky Gervais’ Twitter account. If he’s not splitting your sides open with hilarious tweets and pictures, he will be engaging in a battle online with one of his followers.

The comedian headed across the foam on Saturday night to entertain 9,000 lucky people at the 3Arena and if this funny face that he pulled was anything to go by, the audience was in for a hell of a funny night.

His followers from Ireland were ecstatic that he was coming over and told him to enjoy his day in Dublin and to make sure and try a few drops of the black stuff in his time over here.

The tweets were flowing all day and while people were trying to find out the whereabouts of Gervais (one user even promised to buy him a Luas ticket to travel around Dublin if he met him), only a select few actually managed to meet him.

As the day wore on and 6pm came around, people were starting to make their way to the concert. Some were very close to the action and some were very far away and they didn’t mind that either…

You wouldn’t be long getting FOMO after the concert had finished as everyone flocked to Twitter to praise Ricky Gervais and the fantastic and hilarious show he put on.

There were Michael Jackson jokes and there were IRA jokes and if you were offended, then you were at the wrong gig. People loved Gervais so much that they wanted to have a pint with him but sadly he had to catch the next flight home.

We at JOE are extremely jealous of all the people who were in attendance on Saturday night. Here’s what they had to say about Gervais’ gig in Dublin.
