Chris Brown is set to receive a special birthday surprise in the form of a $1m Mercedes-Benz SLR Stirling Moss from girlfriend Rihanna. So here are a few pics of the beauty (we mean the car)…

Not only is Rihanna a babe, she’s also a kick-ass girlfriend. Why? Well, the Bajan beauty is after splashing out on a $1m Mercedes-Benz Stirling Moss as a surprise present for Chris Brown’s birthday.

The pair are best known for their controversial relationship, but it looks like Rihanna has forgotten all after buying the super rare supercar for Brown’s upcoming 24th bash.

So what’s so special about this particular Mercedes-Benz? Well, there are a few things really. The Mercedes-Benz SLR Stirling Moss was the last car in the SLR model line-up (saving the best ’till last?) and it’s named after the great British racecar driver, Sir Stirling Moss (pictured with the car below). It was also developed alongside McLaren, the Formula 1 specialists, so it’s certainly at home on the track.

The car gives drivers the ultimate driving experience and in its rawest form too. The Mercedes-Benz Stirling Moss comes with a lot of fancy things, like a carbon fibre chassis, but it comes without some other things, like a roof or windscreen meaning you’re open to the elements… and the bugs. But that’s what racecar driving is all about.

As for the specs, the Mercedes-Benz Stirling Moss boasts a 650-hp supercharged 5.5-litre V8 engine. So it’s one seriously mean machine and it definitely breaks the mould of conventional sports cars. Lets just hope Brown treats this motor with a little bit of respect.
