One of the pictures Rihanna Instagramed over the past week has landed two locals in jail and it’s all because of a furry little monkey.
A few days ago we featured some of the saucy pics from Rihanna’s recent trip to Thailand. The Bajan babe posted the pictures to the picture-sharing site Instagram, but there’s one picture in particular (below) that has led to the arrest of two men.
The picture features Rihanna holding a primate known as a slow loris, which is actually a protected species that the two men in question shouldn’t have had in their possession.
According to the Daily Mail, police in Phuket raided various stalls on Bangla Road the day after Rihanna posted the picture online, so at least they were quick to act.
The two lads arrested could face charges of possession of protected animals, which carries a penalty of up to four years in prison and a 40,000 baht ($1,300) fine. Rihanna, on the other hand, is completely innocent, but she has yet to make any comments over the arrests.
