With over 30,000 spectators expected to turn up at this family-orientated festival, attractions on offer include the Good Food Ireland Village, arts & crafts tent, fashion and entertainment and, of course, the main shearing competitions. The Golden Shears really does have something for all the family.

If sheep shearing isn’t your thing, then maybe you’d prefer to check out the latest up and coming movie makers down at the Corona Fastnet Short Film Festival in Schull where ‘The Village is the Screen’.

If you’re interested to find out how the film industry works, or if you’re looking for tips and hints on breaking into the industry then this is definitely the event for you. There are also some absolutely stunning roads for you to drive around once the festival shuts shop for the night.
