Rural legend? Cow tipping is just a load of ‘bullcrap’, apparently

A recent article on the ModernFarmer.com claims that the famous drunken pastime known as ‘cow tipping’ is nothing more than an udderly ridiculous myth.

A recent article on the ModernFarmer.com claims that the famous drunken pastime known as ‘cow tipping’ is nothing more than an udderly ridiculous myth.

Think about it… We’ve all heard stories of our mates, or our mate’s mates, going cow tipping on stag-do’s or when they’ve generally had a bit too much to drink. However, have you ever actually seen a cow being ‘tipped’?

According to Modern Farmer there’s one clear and simple bit of proof that cow tipping doesn’t happen as much as we all like to think it does and that bit of proof is called… YouTube.

The Modern Farmer explains: “YouTube, the largest clearinghouse of human stupidity the world has ever known — where you can watch hours of kids taking the cinnamon challenge, teens jumping off rooftops onto trampolines, or the explosive results of fireworks set off indoors — fails to deliver one single actual cow-tipping video. (The one exception is a Russian dashcam video, which shows a semitruck full of cattle overturning — and cows shaking themselves off and walking away.)”

We’re sure this news will only increase attempted cow tipping incidents across the country, but judging by the fact that a cow weighs as much as a decent sized car and sleeps lying on it’s belly (it’s actually horses that sleep standing up), we doubt we’ll ever see any actual evidence.

This is about as close as we’ll ever get…
