The 2019 Irish Rich List consists of 17 billionaires, but O’Leary isn’t one of them.

There are more billionaires in Ireland than ever before.

Combined, the 300 richest people in Ireland have a wealth of around €87 billion.

That is a lot of money for such a small island, but “only” €865 million of that belongs to Ryanair boss Michael O’Leary, as his net worth fell around €167 million, according to the Sunday Times Irish Rich List (via The Irish Times).

In order to even break into the top 300 richest people in Ireland, you’d need to have at least €57 million, which is about €56.999999999999999999 million more than most people.

The rest of the richest folk in the country is enough to make your bank account suffer from performance anxiety, but if you’re into S&(AT)M, then here you go, starting with the richest folk:

€11.932 billion – Hilary, Alannah, and Galen Weston Jnr. and family, who own the Weston retail empire, which includes everything from Penneys, to Brown Thomas, to Selfridges

€5 billion – Patrick and John Collison, aged 30 and 28, the creators and CEO of online payments company Stripe

€2.6 billion – John Dorrance III, the heir to the Campbell soup fortune

€2.455 billion – Larry, Kitty, Laurence and Mark Goodman, who the Rich List refers to as “meat processing kingpins”

€2.017 billion – Dermot Desmond, businessman and financier

€2 billion – Denis O’Brien, which has reportedly fallen from over 4.5 billion back in 2017

After that, it is just people with one point whatever billion euro, which is basically not worth talking about…
