Scientists reveal that we’ve all been cutting cake the wrong way

Scientifically proven

Eoghan Doherty

The cake scientists have spoken…

Dry cake. We all know it’s one of life’s big problems.

Usually, the cake in question has become dry due to the fact that it’s been sliced into wedges and then left exposed to the elements, meaning that you’re probably not going to eat it once it’s been cut up.

We say probably, but what we mean is you’re not going to eat it in front of people who will judge you.

According to IFL Science, however, brainy boffins revealed in 1906 that there is a scientifically proven way for you to cut your cake to make sure that it doesn’t dry up, thereby making you a hero in the eyes of your friends and family.

We know what you’re thinking; scientists get to wear white coats AND eat lots of cake as part of their “research”. It’s the greatest job ever.

Check out this guide to cutting cake to make sure that you’ll never do cake wrong ever again.

Of course, the other way to avoid this terrifying dessert disaster is to just eat the whole thing one go. A simple solution.
