Taking a screenshot on Insta without the user finding out is still possible, here’s how

Yes, there is a way to stop it

The secrets of the app are now yours to use.

Instagram has just recently installed a feature which will tell you, similarly to Snapchat, the moment when someone screenshots your Insta Story.

Despite the fact that we’re delighted to finally know who cares about our life updates on the app, we’re a little horrified that our precious information comes up on our unsuspecting friends’ (and probably more so, enemies’) timelines.

However, all is not lost – as a way around the whole situation has been found, thus saving your rep forever.

And it’s pretty simple, actually.

First of all, you need to go into your own stories and click into the people who have viewed them.

Next, look out for a star-like symbol (it’s like a swirling star) – if that symbol pops up beside a user, then that means they have taken a screenshot.

See? Easy.

However, if you want to take a screenshot without the person finding out, then apparently all you need to do is turn your phone on to Airplane Mode.

According to TechCrunch, a spokesperson for Instagram said: “We are always testing ways to improve the experience on Instagram and make it easier to share any moment with the people who matter to you.”
