We all enjoy a good night out. Whether it be a few quiet ones down the local with your mates or a big night out at some fancy club, we all strive to have that good night out. With the new nightclub Industry opening on Friday, October 9th, it got us to thinking about all the things we say after a great night out.
‘I’m never drinking again!’
This old chestnut rears its head almost all the time, every time. The night out has been great craic, but you’ve possibly had a jar too many and you’re not feeling great the next morning.
It’s almost compulsory to say it, but you know and everyone else knows that it’s all lies. You’ll be back out the following weekend doing the exact same.
‘I love you’
Those three little words have such a powerful meaning. Whether it’s the drink talking or just the euphoria of a great night, these words are often said to mates, lovers or even the pint you are drinking such is the good form you are in.
‘I wish tonight would never end’
You know how it is, the craic was great, all your pals were there and the night went swimmingly well. You convince yourself that all the ladies secretly checked you out, even though it’s most probably not true.
Everything is clicking into place and the DJ is playing all your favourite tunes and although on the dancefloor you are showing all the prowess and guile of an elephant on speed, you convince yourself that you are the clone of John Travolta at his dancing peak.
‘Where’s the party?’
Probably the next stage of that wonderful night which you don’t want to end. You want to keep it going for fear of never experiencing joy again.
You ask all and sundry in the club or in the chipper anxiously hoping that someone will allow you to continue your ‘best night ever!’
‘I’d love a snack-box’
A night out never feels complete without having some take-away food at the end of it.
You’ve had an evening of being awesome and you are now hungry. It’s now time to reward yourself with calories and lots of them.
‘I got her number’
No night out can ever be called great unless you have got the number from the best looking girl in the world. At least, that’s what you convince yourself.
You’ve been checking her out for years in a non-creepy-living-in-her-wardrobe kind of way.
You’ve finally worked up the courage to ask her for her number and she obliges leaving you ecstatic and telling everyone who will listen that this is the best night ever.
