You won’t need reminding that next Friday is St. Patrick’s Day and Twitter will be joining in the celebration of all things Irish at home and around the globe.
The social networking behemoth will celebrate our national holiday throughout this month with a very special Twitter emoji triggered by a range of hashtags around the holiday and Tourism Ireland’s Global Greening campaign.
From today, March 9, any of the hashtags below will trigger a shamrock emoji in Twitter, while for the first time ever, a series of Irish themed stickers will be globally introduced on the platform between March 15 and March 21.
The St. Patrick’s Day Twitter takeover follows on from the recent confirmation of all the famous buildings around the world that will be going green on March 17.
