Yep. You read that correctly.

You may not be aware that Krispy Kreme is opening a brand new store in Blanchardstown Centre on 26 September.

The official opening will be at 7am next Wednesday, and people are fairly excited.

Although it’s not the first doughnut store to open in Ireland, it is the first one that is open 24/7.

So if you ever get a late-night doughnut craving, you know where to go.

And in case that wasn’t enough reason to make your way to the new shop, maybe Shaquille O’Neal will be able to convince you.

In the video, one of the best basketball players of all time urges people in Dublin to make their way to Blanchardstown next Wednesday for the grand opening.

He says that: “As Krispy Kreme’s global brand ambassador, and a connoisseur of everything doughnuts, I wanted to be the first to tell you.

“That’s right, Krispy Kreme will be opening in Dublin, Ireland on September 26th at 7am at Blanchardstown Centre.”

He goes as far as to say: “Ireland, I love you. I’m Irish!”

And who are we to disagree? Just look at his impression of the McGregor walk.

The first 100 in the queue on opening day will receive a free glazed doughnut.

Sounds good to us, and to Shaq as well.
