"I don't know whether they're going to like it or not."
That is a question that Sharon Shannon should never feel the need to ask. Whether you're man, woman, child or animal, if you want to hear a bit of diddley-eye look no further than Shannon.
She must be sick to death at this stage of playing packed out venues to thousands of people and felt that she needed a change of audience.
The musician was on the way to Youghal in Co. Cork when she took a pit stop in a nearby field to play a tune for some cows...
The caption of the video reads: "OMG! You just have to watch this! Just wait and see what happens at the end. Love and you will always receive love back! 100 fold!"
The video begins with words stating that Sharon was overlooking Dungarvan when she played a tune for these cows and they loved it.
It then turns to Shannon who questions whether the animals will like it or not and reminds the camera person to "make sure and get the cows," in the video.
As she rattles off a tune at lightning pace, the cows come flying over to the fence which she is sitting on and by the end of the song, the whole field comes to a standstill.
Shannon ends the song and jokes to the cows "now did ye like that? I think they liked it," before one of her admirers comes over for a lick.
The video has gotten over 120,000 views in less than 24 hours.
It reminded us of the time when this farmer played Lorde's 'Royals' on the trombone and got surrounded by cows who just couldn't get enough of his playing.
