Bad news, everyone! Futurama’s run on Comedy Central is over after the show was cancelled earlier this week.

Many years ago Futurama won a place in our hearts with its hilarious script and brilliant characters, as well as the odd emotional moment that has us all claiming that “we’ve just got something in our eye”.

So with it looking like it won’t make a comeback this time, we decided to look at some of our favourite moments from the show in the past few years, and yes, it will feature plenty of Zapp Brannigan.

Speaking of, here’s the great brave general giving us his best impression of mixed-metaphor football manager speak:

All Our Circuits was a brilliant robot-based day-time TV soap, and it was the best place for Calculon to show off his unholy acting talent!

Perhaps the most famous catchphrase, bar “bite my shiny metal ass”, was Professor Farnsworth’s greeting, so here’s a compilation of him saying that a lot.

Zoidberg was the crew’s doctor, although he didn’t seem to know much, or anything, about the human body. Woop woop woop woop!

There were two outstanding alien characters in the show and we simply couldn’t choose between them! Lrr was a comedy genius, although he wasn’t very good at keeping a low profile:

Of course, there was also the news-reader Morbo, who often showed disregard for the puny humans of Earth.

While narrowing one of the cast of recurring robot characters was a tough choice, we can’t help but love the stab happy Roberto. “What’s wrong Red? You scared? Noticeably?”

To close the list, we’re confident enough to say that this is one of the most touching moments in recent memory on TV, and we struggle to watch it now without welling up. Poor aul Seymour…
