The people have spoken.
You may or may not have noticed, but the best pubs and hotels in Ireland in which to get a carvery dinner were revealed at the Great Carvery Pub of the Year and the Great Carvery Hotel of the Year awards earlier this week.
Considering that carvery dinners are regarded with such reverence in Ireland, it’s no surprise that our piece about the awards on the site generated a huge response.
Some readers were happy that their favourite eatery got a mention; others were incandescent that some of their favourite places didn’t even get a nomination, let alone an award.
A quick comb through the comments section on our Facebook page revealed a number of alternative suggestions by JOE readers to the pubs and hotels that won or were nominated for awards earlier this week.
