The Euromillions jackpot for Tuesday 9 October was a not insubstantial €17,000,000, but there were no winners of the top prize, meaning it will roll over to an even bigger jackpot this Friday.
The winning numbers were 3, 12, 36, 44, and 45, and the lucky stars were 8 and 11, and while there were some winners around Europe that will go home with some of the bigger secondary amounts, none of them were in Ireland.
In fact, the biggest Irish winners of the main draw were the 18 people who matched four numbers and a lucky star, and won €199 for their troubles.
No, the big Irish winner was in the Lotto Plus draw, with the winning ticket being sold in the south east of the country.
Those winning numbers were 14, 16, 25, 38 and 39.
37 more people matched four of those numbers, and have won €2,000 each.
Overall, not too shabby!
