The spots will also be painted with pink emblems in the middle of them…

The Seoul Metropolitan Government in South Korea has been trying to make the city more female-friendly as of late with some creative urban planning ideas that are aimed to make women feel safer in the city. Sounds like a good idea, right?

While the $95m “Women Friendly Seoul” initiative has had some great ideas for making the city a more ‘woman-friendly’ place, one idea has been met with criticism. That idea is the ‘female-friendly parking spaces’ that are longer, wider and a whole lot pinker than regular parking spots.

The spots are designed to be better lit and closer to exits and elevators, but the fact that they’re pink and MASSIVE has raised a few eyebrows in Seoul seeing as the idea seems to be based off of the old stereotype that ‘woman can’t park cars’.

So what do you think? Should Seoul introduce male-only parking spots that require blokes to jump off a 30ft stunt ramp and through a ring of fire before finally parking their car? Or should everyone be treated the same when it comes to motoring?
