Paying rent is always a pain at the end of the month, especially if you work long hours and only really use your gaff to get some shuteye in your bed. Sometimes you think it might just be easier to sleep in the office and cut your costs.

Well that’s exactly what Li Meng from Chamchung in China did, when he moved into an internet café and started paying them a monthly rent to stay there. He apparently makes his money selling virtual and custom goods to other gamers, and pays the lads who run the place the equivalent of about €65 a month.

According to locals who spoke to news reporters, he hardly ever leaves his computer except to go and get food and find somewhere to shower. According to msn.com, one local added that he clearly hasn’t been to a barbers in a while either, since his hair was extremely long.

Apparently, Li Meng doesn’t talk to anyone in the place, and won’t interact with anyone unless it’s online. Even a reporter who came along with a psychologist couldn’t get a word out of him, as he just kept playing as if they weren’t there, according to odditycentral.com.

He must be making enough cash to get by anyway, as he has a diamond-studded joystick that he uses to game. The owners have no problem with him being there though, as he’s almost become part of the furniture with him being around all the time.

He games through the night and catches up on a bit of sleep during the day, but he’s in there, rain or shine, and even on the big holidays in China.

We have to say, if there was ever an award for the biggest video game addict on the planet, we’re fairly sure this guy would win it hands down.

Clearly, Li Meng is a bit of a space cadet, and we’d suggest he needs to get out a bit more. If you want to get out much more, like say getting out of the planet and going into space, then head to Lynxapollo.com and sign up for the Space Academy, to see if you’ve got what it takes.
