Yay science!

Yay science!

Cheers to Darren Creaven for sending this into us, a wonderful view of an aurora over Earth taken from the International Space Station a couple of months ago.

What’s an aurora? ‘Auroras are caused by charged particles entering the atmosphere from above causing ionisation and excitation of atmospheric constituents as they collide with the earth’s magnetic field.’

Thank you, internet. Enjoy this…
